At Savepoint Retro, we offer professional repair services for all video game-related paraphernalia, including consoles, controllers, games, and other accessories.
Diagnostic Fee: All consoles brought in for repair are subject to a $30 diagnostic charge. This covers the initial analysis to determine the potential issues and perform general repairs. If the repair requires no more than one hour of work to restore the item to functional condition, no additional charges will be applied beyond the diagnostic fee.
Further Repair: If additional repairs or parts are necessary beyond the initial diagnostic and repair phase, we will notify the owner of the item via phone or text. The customer will then have the option to approve or decline the additional work.
If the customer opts to cancel the repair after receiving the notice of additional work required, the $30 diagnostic fee will still apply, and the item will be returned in its original state to the owner.
Hourly Repair Fee: After the first hour of work, further repairs will incur an additional charge of $20 per hour for labor.
Small Repairs: If a customer requires a light amount of work on a piece of equipment it will only cost $5 + parts. what qualifies as small work is defined by Savepoint Retro at the time of accepting such a job. A common example would be replacing a save battery on a cartage.
Customers have the option to set a repair budget prior to the start of any repair work. Once the repair process reaches the budget limit, we will stop the repairs, and no further charges will be applied, even if additional work may have been required.
To ensure transparency, all repairs will be tracked, including the time the repair process begins, when it ends, and any breaks taken during the work. This record will be available upon request of the customer.
